Fear

He whirrs, disturbs the withered leaves,
cries, yells hungrily,
haunts the forsaken dwellings,
moans, abandoned by all,
exiled, banished,
thrown out of warm homes
where happy children cry,
and where there is still someone
who fears the sound of dead leaves shimmering.
