WordsA Poem by RuzicaWords can be swords
and words can be shields They can be armor and they can be poison They can drip down the edge of a blade headed for your heart They can caress and they can wound with the same wild glee They can make you weep from deep within your eyes and they can make you laugh so much that your smile will burst even through the tips for your toes So I've been careful with words - carefully sneaking them in measured little sips and bites in fitful little stops and starts in warm and hungry and desperate times Except when it comes to you When it comes to you my words pour forth like a torrential rain like a flock of hungry pigeons like a spilled carton of orange juice I want to bathe you in them and shower you with them Because in turn your words and yours alone have the power to warm my frozen fingers and clear my clouded eyes To shift that little hard something lodged in the center of me and make it a little bit smaller every time you speak to me So lets chitter-chatter and lets make small talk big talk any kind of talk and heat each other with golden sounds and loud bursts of sunshine till we can no longer speak till we no longer feel alone © 2014 RuzicaReviews
