All of Me

All of Me

A Poem by Ruzica

All of my thoughts are old
- endlessly looping around
until they become something
more than myself
and threaten to silence
my flowery mind

All of my colors have their names
and I yearn
for a flash of a shade
yet unspoken

All of my clothes are sensible
and wrinkle free
and I wish for a stripy green dress
with a tear on the left sleeve

All of my years are a single bedroom
and an old staticky radio
and I really wish
you'd come and change the station

All of my fears are tickling feathers
beneath my ribs
and dancing bees
behind my eyes
and I wish for them to settle down
somewhere far away and nice

All of my smiles are in your eyes
and in your eyebrows
and in your dark lashes
and I really wish
you would come closer

All of my breaths are bubble gum pink
and strawberry flavored
and I really wish
you'd share them with me
