A Leap of Faith

Close your eyes- It will be okay. Close your eyes-Take a leap of faith

It is cold today

The wind blows and feels like ice

It brushes my face

I look down the cliff

The waves crash against its edge.

I’ve the urge to jump.

It is cold today

Silently I walk away

It brushes my face.

Snow covers the ground

I watch the children play

My phone starts to buzz

As the children play

Death keeps trying to call me

A call I don’t take.

It is cold today

This is from a darker place in my mind. Let me just say, I have no urge to commit suicide. I am completely happy. But there are days I feel dragged down by life, and that is where this came from. Just a tired, bump in the road of life.
