Boredom Takes HoldA Poem by RuthlessMindI wrote this freestyle poem in a haiku style of 5,7,5.As boredom takes hold My mind is left to wander. Memories fly free. Emotions suffocate me. Times ticks by slowly. Days are are a lifetime to me. I close my eyes tight. I hold my breath for a while. Sunlight fades away. The night I find comforting. I sing songs I know, As to not feel all alone. As boredom takes hold, My mind wanders in the cold. Leaving me empty, Someone please, I beg, save me. I sit here alone, Yet no one truly can know. The time passes by, The hourglass has broken. The night turns to day, It all seems to stays the same. I try and try, yet, Never really knowing why. © 2017 RuthlessMindAuthor's Note
