A Daily Journey One Must Take

A Daily Journey One Must Take

A Chapter by RussianRevolution

A long day, today

God, my throat is too sore to talk

Probability, lymphatic system, politics and literature

All the topics of today, and tomorrow

Most likely the next day too

Trivial matters, they are to me

Except probability, just because everyone else detests it

These past few weeks, blowing away the 'math girls'

Whose lack of understanding that eventually, you will reach 50/50 when flipping a coin is embarassing

Their confusion, micking mine only months before

Still, this is not the point

The day was long

Growing sicker and sicker with the passing minutes

Claratin knock-offs in my system, tylenol as well

Growing hotter and hotter, do I have a fever?

Wait, now it's cold, nevermind me

A voice spoken with blocked nasal passages sound hilarious, apparently

Stoned expression, a sight to see

Happy to sad, second to second

Is this menopause?

Couldn't be, too young for that

School is over, sighs of relief

Brief hugs and kisses, bidded adieu

Long walk through the parking lot to the empty truck

Phone calls were made, where are you?

Coming dear, I'm with the dog

The wait is over, hurrah

Now, it is the time to go home

A snack is eaten, chimmychanga, a favorite, a weakness

Laying down, oh wait, that's my cellphone

Connected to it, for only minutes

You have work to be done

Mother dear, how is your vacation?

My week away from you is wonderful

Aside from this sickness that has been aqquired

Oh, you must go, goodbye, goodbye, please don't call back

Another hour or so, time to pick up the mail

Back in the truck

Ransacked for snacks and meals for tomorrow

Oh my, it hurts to speak

Driving down a little ways, take a right, yes this one

Hess Express, my soon to be savior

Scampering, skittering, bolting

The Slurpee machine, my new-found friend

Paying for it, a low low low of $1.25!

Gladly dished out

Back to the truck for the ride home

Mountain Dew, my lemon-lime love

Some like it, some say it tastes like feet

Neither one of these, this is love, obbsession

Soothing my abused throat

A Wonderful End, To A Mediocore Day

About
I'm short. I don't write nearly as much as I want or should. I'm usually off creating some other form of art. Tell me what you think of whatever I get around to writing, I'd really like that. more..
