In another life

This poem is dedicated to the father of my unborn child, my pain and remedy.

My sweetheart

Yes, in my heart you'll always be mine.

Maybe not in reality, but in my dreams the sun will always shine.

I know we didn't work out, I know we gave up.

I know we're both stubborn and I know we messed up. 

In another life, I am yours and you are mine. 

In another life, people wouldn't try to tear us apart, and in another life, everyone would be just fine.

I broke up with you because you never wanted to be around me like u used to,

And when I did, I had to break my own heart in order to make yours happy. 

I just want u to be happy, if it's not with me, that's fine too; Coz' in another life, I made u happy and not just for a day or two.

I gave back everything you gave to me

Yes I did that.

Your family thought I didn't love you for you.

Even both our friends thought our love was never true.

It wasn't based on the dates, the gifts, or the meaningless sex.

I would trade all of that, for 1 sec just to have you back.

I don't know about you but people around me are telling me to follow my heart, but which way do I go when it's broken into two?

It's just a messed up scenario, when the only road led to you.

I'll always love you, I'll always love our boy

We'll always be a family, maybe not in your life, but in another life.
