Idea.

Two planets, one is extremely loud (like a rock concert on steroids, with s**t going off everywhere you move) so no-one can focus, the other planet is where silence is so revered that there are consequences to the amount of sound you make (think - the last time you were at the library and some kid starts screaming and bitching - ha ha Tased).
Diagon represents the gold-member seats of the quiet society where in reward of being awesome and respectful, you have a time/space dedicated to sound, ie- vinyl room / phone call room / music room etc.

Sorry, I was being snarky. I don't see any text at all. The story appears to be blank on my end. Based on your mention of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Stanley Kubrick, however, it sounds like a potentially interesting story. I'd be interested to read it.

Tucson is okay I guess. I was born and raised here, and while I've visited other parts of the country I've never bothered to move from my home town.

Thanks for reading my story. I've had two people tell me the short sentences were "distracting" or otherwise irritating. I thought about making some tweaks, but not entirely sure where and still keep the effect I'm going for, so I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Anyhow, shoot me a message when you figure out why this story isn't showing up and I'll give it a read.

Sup man, my bad, it's blank I'm updating it now. The rule for getting anything done with writing is F**K Em if they don't like something which is incomplete, better to segregate your audience than to unnecessarily fix something that ain't broke.
