babel of lonelyA Poem by RuseInex
i'm lonely in a crowd of people
an empty heart a broken shell i'm waiting for kindness waiting for them to understand, i mean them no harm they rush past, jump over, stumble, don't care, too engrossed too busy to know me i hear them, their paranoia and suspicion they don't share to let me let them know i dare to care to hear their words i will not let myself be thrown away for anyone, or them for me, i'm here to rescue with my words, stand the danger and the insult, be it low intelligence be it mean, or insecure be it drunk, or spiteful some may think i aim to do them harm, think i mock them think me beneath them they think to seek me out i entertain the moment, the paths we cross, i indulge i impart i care i try i take the time they don't understand they won't go away they come back on the surface no connection, blinded in the thick fog oh, behold how good and pleasant it would be for brothers to dwell together in unity, in blessed unity the unending war the planetary strife the weight i choose loneliness in a remote and quiet place on the rocks beneath the craiggy peaks i'm lonely for trails leading to nowhere, bird cries, hawk circling high above, rambling streams of water flowing, or not flowing, a desert biome wilderness hungry for lonely no people no grid just lonely © 2017 RuseInex |
