did you hear?

did you hear?

A Poem by RuseInex

i heard man landed on the moon

it didn't take long for some one to refute it,

this marvelous achievement

i heard men destroyed works of modern man,

the epitome of civilizations worldwide,

particularly in middle eastern regions

under fire and savage brutal blows

in the name of religion

it doesn't take long for them

to hatch a plan and do it

to destroy the works of good

i heard mother theresa

worked with the poor and destitute

i heard ponzi schcmes decimated

the american econony

and i heard about a man named hitler

who murdered millions

it didn't take long for someone

to proclaim his deeds brilliant

and some who questioned

whether those atrocities really happened

i heard someone say the death camps and ovens

were contrived and fictitious

oh, wretched ones, workers of violence,

disrespect to fellow men,

pathogens with ulterior motives

to destroy what is good

i heard that a man named jesus

lived quite a while ago

and that he healed the sick and raised the dead

i heard some people mock him

and demanded barabus in his place

i heard it's hard for the masses

to believe that jesus did those things

can't blame those who don't understand

the spirit world

he was refuted, denied and rejected

on and on to this day

on and on until comes the age of end

it inexhorably draws to dawn

while his truth and he lives on and on

over centuries to the final end,

the age of 6 be overwith

and comes the indignation

that will sit in the temple

the abomination of desolation

proclaiming himself to be the messiah

until then his work continues incognito

for those who have eyes to see

i heard some people say that the bones,

found in africa belonged to an ape named lucy

i heard they were purported

to be at least 3 million years old

and that mankind is the descended progeny

of this mother ape

faith is the substance

of things not seen with human eyes

but perceived by the spirit

i heard there was a world wide flood

that God parted the red sea for moses and his people

i heard some fake news last night

that said God is dead

funny that God doesn't exist for them

but they say he's dead

funny that their atoms will decay

in the ground after the putrid odor of decomposition,

the stuff zombies are said to be made of

i heard that no one has lived past the age of old age

and i read about men who lived long ago,

that they lived for near a thousand years

these were the men mentioned

in the old testament bible when the earth was young

the aged weary earth groans

under the weight of rebellion

it waits for the sons and daughters

of love to be revealed

it waits for its own liberation

i read about a great fall

when the supreme creation of God

an angel named lucifer, the light bearer,

the watchman over the earth

who lusted for men's women,

he that he deceived man into rebellion against God,

. . . you know, basic freedom of will

by which our ancestors, adam and eve,

suffered being tossed out of the garden of eden

i read this account in a book entitled,

The Lost Books of The Bible,

their log . . .

highly plausible in the grand scheme of things

. . . and how satan, the fallen angel,

the rebel who raised his fist at God,

tempted them that caused their being outcast

into the earth's wilderness

i heard many proofs to this same topic

i didn't dismiss these but investigated them in depth

and i even got spiritual

and asked the Lord himself to show me truths

i learned to think for myself,

and found the path

though surrounded by briars and thorns

hardship and wretched hearts torn

and every vile pit of deciet and danger

to overcome

i pondered the evidence

in the age of intellectual plenitude

and explosive information

and exponential data proliferation

well hidden by the Media Press

in lieu of breaking news

vital bits ignored

by the doctors of information decimation

who can blame them?

who wants to believe in myths -

right?

i know . . . right?

let virtue and honor and the light

of renaissance prevail

it's sink or swim and survival of the fittest

by a competitive economy

i learned objectivity 'cause the world,

as you know, is filled with many voices,

many philosophies, many lies

. . . and i heard his voice,

i heard the voice of the good shepard

who found me,

one of his lost sheep

. . . and i heard his voice and considered

'cause i asked him to sit

and eat dinner with me quite a long time ago

and met him at his request to let him be my friend

some of the devil's agents

hung out with me for a while

until i found them out

who believes in myths, right?

anyway they still hang out, all over the place

they won't go away either

if you cast them into a herd of pigs,

they, being immortal spirits

will not give up a warm body

such is the case until the end of the age of end

. . .  anyway, i pondered

the many philosophies and religions

that man and satan have to offer

and i decided of my own free will to follow Jesus

because i heard that all who believe in him

will have eternal life

besides, what do i have to lose but death itself,

because if he exists, and i believe that he does,

i have his rest in this semblance of life

and all of his promises to gain

to be fulfilled at the end

living in the age of end
