drift awayA Poem by RuseInex
over here
over here my sacred, my holy one here, my love my one and only, come judge me not let me lay my beaten, my beaten weary head upon your lap, 'til the indignation be over past shield my eyes, my holy one it was not my fault, nor is it yours i was born despite myself, i do not understand please forgive me for damage done, shield me from the indignation, 'til it be overpast over here, i am over here my only one, do not take offense, i am yours lay down, i lay down at your side if you will, do what you will i crumple here i am, over here take me away away, take me away run, run away far from here, do not do me in take me out of here i lay myself down i did not know i saw her slowly die a lonely frightened castaway, i saw her run away unloved, far away from here i did not know how to help her i did not try i lay myself down i did not know do what you will with me i am yours do what you will, 'til the indignation be overpast, i will not resist i have learned remember me, remember me when we laughed your soft face like a dove, like a sweet, holy child your eyes, no guile, no, only soft your gentle soul where are you my sweet sister?! remember me remember her we played, we play no more as i drift away, remember my face, my place, my will to be, to reach this place, where nothing matters nothing matters, only my sorrow as i drift away © 2017 RuseInex |
