sweet motions, swing low chariot

sweet motions, swing low chariot

A Poem by RuseInex

like wheels, planets, spin around the sun,
stars like wheels orbit round each other
over vast time and space of the galaxies they comprise

even the galaxies move round galactic center
a celestial wheel in motion

look to the invisible plane
in the tiny niche of our domain
thus far gained,
quantum atoms spin there unseen
except by electron scope
try counting each one?
all the world's computers labor
in mathematical speculation,
theoretical labors
running algorithmics for ascertainment,
reach the end of programmatic loop,
overheat implode an' crash
no end in sight for to come to end solution
they, like their creators succumb to entropy
like pyramid stones of centuries past turned to dust

can the end number particles,
of the substance of a butterfly's wings,
the fluorescent dust therein that falls,
adheres to your finger's tips,
its very spirit essence that comprise,
involve its marvelous growth, formation,
its spirit energy, that which gives its spark of life,
that adheres to this creatures wings
lets it fly and adorns the world
with majestic beauty, taken for granted,
be quantified?

and yet, yes, the brash, the mortal one
my fellow human kin,
man enthroned upon his knowledge base,
of all the world's academian vaults,
boldly proclaim primordial soup evolved
and thus, we and all life was created,
all we know,
complexity of brain and speech,
the written word,
a child's coo
a puppy dog
a single cell
a birth canal,
music

a giant sun warms a watery world
the blue planet sings on high in the black of space
an infinitesimally small pin prick of genius
in the midst of utter loneliness, this orb called earth,
how simple a view from on satellite telescopic high,
go into, deeper with your view to its surface
its complexity astounds you
light and life in the universe profound,
no other one like it found
whether by radio waves or telescopic means

electrons go round an' round,
like micro galaxies each, orbit nuclei,
God has so ordained
light bit sparks,
ultra quantum matter
at the threshold portal,
to the spirit realm dimension,
spinning wheels of light,
moving at photon radiation speed,
fantastic ordered rpm's precise
dizzying concept,
pulls the mind like elastic,
stretched beyond conception
a lonely wretch,
such is man apart
from the knowledge of God

since God said,
let there be light,
forever round an' round
let man admit, rejoice in the knowledge,
acknowledge His throne
His Being far above the reach of man
and yet accessible in that,
He is lowly that we may know him,
by his son, the Lord
King of Kings, the Christ
by whom all things were made
visible and invisible

movement . . .  moving,
words insufficient to express speed of light,
speed of thought,
such notions of motions,
orbits round, far beyond the fleshly reach
of concepts' grasp to the bulk of ordinary man,
few and fewer know the workings of a cell phone
we do not care, we use it blindly for its function
makes no difference anyhow,
it works
it drives our world nonetheless
God is there, nonetheless,

in the genie engines,
of our own that drive,
never stopping on and on,
since the dawn of the industry
of their creation
by our kind
for good or not

our kind, our machines
arose not of primordial soup
but rather intelligence endowed by God
the one who made us in His image
the One most confuse, deny and shun,
against whom some rebel,
would make us monkey's kin
man arose from inert elements, so said,
bound blind in wheels of philosophy and self

can you define intelligence?
intelligence moves creation
it feels,
it cares,
it lives,
it loves

made by man,
carriages of wheels carry us,
electric merged with gases volatile
power of the piston and the gear
brings everything so near,
far and back,
so dear

glimmering metals spinning round and round,
tamed by axle rod an' science of the mind
flesh and steel connected by a trillion threads,
copper stretched,
works obediently as does gold,
quite manifold
silicon and polyethylenes strive
to our bidding,
as do cogs, pins an' springs,
bathed in golden oil's lubricants

sweet honey in the mix meets our drive
like a woman to a man in heat
pistons go up and down in secret chambers
pushed by rods of steel
like her hips in eccentric motion, producing lovely heat
steel and flesh
her skin cleaves an' brushes on the flesh of man
drives him on and on like the magnet's pull
filled with power, explosive spills
the detonations on and on,
in slow and fast the frenzy

the road flashes on and on beneath our feet
the drive train of the transfer,
brain to steel, copper, glass, their fibers carry
the earthly universe within our cyberspace,
created by man,
moving further on,
into and far beyond,
no end in sight,
to the coming merge of electrons with human mind

riding on wheels called life,
they move us on,
the train that drives us all,
holds us all together bound,
round and round we go,
cradled and carried by glorious wheels,
of rails made by flesh,
elemental of existential earth,
or moved along with wings of God's spirit
