fall of tears

fall of tears

A Poem by RuseInex

gravity pulls tears' slide downward on the cheek

the red leaves fall, fluttering softly on cushion's air

hidden in ducts these tears of liquid love were stored for this

those leaves were green with youthful life in spring,

they lived and died on the stem and fell

my tears fall downward slow upon my cheek

they were made somehow while i lived

specially stored to be released for such a time as this

like the falling leaves pulled to the ground

we daily live and fall,

pulled down by another day, likewise bound

each day upon this global orb of life

untold thousands mortals die

no one escapes such tragic end,

by which the heart is cruelly rent

no escape, no medic cure,

all have and will meet their futile end

for such these things my eyes with tears release

in vain it is to stop the flow

none can change the end of things as this

the knowledge proof, the death of life

the falling of the leaves and tears
