gravity's crushA Poem by RuseInexi will run with the dawn and catch her by her veil as it trails mist upon the shadowed cliffs of sunlit mountain slopes it speaks promises filled with a resounding din of silence that vaporizes with the rising heat the ever turning ghost, dome of sky touches my face with growing burn toward apogee of noon my futile will fails to slow these marvelous time pieces their inevitable movements inexorably crush my thoughts into the seductive void below the shrill call of an eagle soaring across the dark behemoth slate of canyon walls pull my eyes into vertigo, echoing the voices of bird and grandeur depths who resists the full measure of sunlight, i stare into the chill then force my gaze back high up the pull of turquoise sky, i scarcely escape before the setting of the sun, to catch its dazzling display of flames burn the western side of the parabolic that causes me to slide, It makes me bounce back, once again, earthbound by gravity's crush oh, carry me in flight across the chasm’s vast cleft of space, far past the lost of time and space, abandoned beyond the reach of blood steeped grief, no matter where i step far past the darkness void, who reaps each one who craves eternal sleep far past crush of earthbound gravity far past its mind warp milieu snared on cities’ streets, far above this wearied heart and mind would i could hold the keys of life, clutch them to my reach i'd pry the bars of frigid souls and sin apart set free every wretched, bind them to the glory lines that glow stars' eternal light love in kin and love in heart forever would i mold into the image of purest kind delight, still and silence shouts of pain and hated blight, extinguish to the void fly into my lofty perch of mountains' high, craggy niche delight remain there for eternity and never take return let them undeterred, let them fight among themselves, those who bend the royal truth and mock what's left of justice bending every rule to step on fingers of the blind, tearing love to bits, those who choose to live, to drag their earthen weight, living in the dark, in the crush of earthbound gravity let me live in solitude, i have no words to say they shunned me when i played, no notice of my shouts of pain or joy ignored somehow while the chaos triumphed, gnawed my soul, my bones to dust i have no words to say or speak to those except of truth, which they refuse to hear even the wind and rocks listen to me here, their lovely hands they comfort me, they understand, they help me heal my grief i gladly yield my cushioned fall into the canyon dark, disappear into this night, above my reach, sharp stainless steel, sparks of stars watch, they speckle the canyon's walls, i slow descend with buoyant steps away, the crushing earthbound gravity has no hold on me © 2016 RuseInex |
