dystopia's cure

dystopia's cure

A Poem by RuseInex

the world filled with rhyme would be sublime

transformed beyond its self become instilled as one

in harmony of speech for all inclined

whether good or bad, the bad to yield

to lesser crime, speech of rhyme impede its growth

example told, graffiti artists' defacing walls

subject themselves to flowery speech would dare not breech

across the line drawn in the sand by those restraints

of Shakespeare's sound effect

imagine they, standing there engrossed in thees and thous

dear kind sirs, madams and fellow chaps, i seek a surface fair

upon which to scribe and scroll, i do thy will impose

and as enforcers of the law would profound attest

our places of sequestering, are meager filled at best

by those arrested for their crimes,

the most are for speaking without rhyme

are easily reformed of their murdering of the word

their butchery of the spoken word in prose

for as the motive crime's expect is nulled by rhyme's effect

such as those who would object are taken in by edict's rhyme

convinced to seek a higher speech, affected by such talk

would they then themselves, partake poetic's walk

the world then, would be as one,

no need for censorship
