Sol

Sol

A Poem by RuseInex
"

more than a star our sun when some characteristics considered

"
sol, our closest star
our sun is more than a star;
it's an orb of wonder,
a golden hot, warming sphere of molten light
tho' at different times
through different atmospheric mists
and vapor clouds
at different angles through the air; its rays
it beams and shines, emits white light
radiation streams to deserts bright
illuminates all,
from rock to cacti to creatures wild
in its glare the hare,
the fox, the owl, the mouse
all corners of our globe, our eye
the mountains, the plains, the hills,
the cities of mankind, all skies
from furthest far, our amazing star belongs
even lights past the inward corners of our house
in all quarters' hemispheres, our ball of earth and rock;
it bathes in the light of sol's glory;
it does turn and tilt
marvelous sol, orb of wonder, sphere of molten light
for millions' years it burns, to burn for millions more,
majestically divine conceived
to live then die and be again reborn,
humbly bestows the gentlest glow
on the freckles and dimples of the face of heated earth
she receives his warmth on her oceans foaming blue
reflects light upon the rain forests' amazons
and tundras of northern latitudes,
icebergs and glaciers of arctic, antarctic seas
making color of spaces' black to blue on those frozen cliffs
and pristine frozen bays
magic wonder magic sol
