PromiseA Poem by RuseInexwe are but flesh and blood, no match against earth's rocks, endowed with great intelligencecaught up by contraptions science cushion plush for our naked human bodies frail, no match against nature no match to change harsh side of reality we are frail soft flesh and bone nails split, eyes dim splitting and dimming our intelligence wondrously sharp endowed ears weak to hear skin dries in the wind and sun bare feet stub toes, hurts like hell naked a*s in sun's sunburns no protective shell hoof or claw no camouflage evolution will never change us it can't only God can his divinity shared our species lies it betrays itself and its own kind steals, kills, hates its own Outside of His Promise there is no escape nor relief we are born to die His Mystery few know it few believe it no escape from the dragon's eye and claw without his key there is no hope if i could i would slay the dragon what farce given his great power laughable, given i am but mere dust fallen man weakened hand me, my kind believed his lie fooled, follow hollow hypnotized along with all others of my species lean on the promises of old ancient yet for full completion fulfillment a new age dawns not of the dragon false rather the one of truth and light and love the savior comes on the wings of eternity love thy neighbor as thyself go in and dine with him son of God and man he beckons follow do his will obey his ways escape the coming wrath 'til it be overpast hide in the ark strength in his spirit his covenant flesh, his word © 2016 RuseInex |
