AgingA Poem by RuseInexaging in the physical sense is taken as a given part of life, part of a cycle, put eloquently, yet it has it's unpleasant elementsaging is good to grow 'n mature, wise and such it is a disease not meant to be "let's grow old together,"romantically said two in love hinged upon this love's cliche and, "let me grow old gracefully" one utters in hopes of avoiding diapers Aging is a disease not meant to be great painters, some of the masters portray God the Father as a white haired old man, like michaelangelo, probably since he is referred to as Ancient of Days but no one has seen, nor can ever see the Father indescribable light enthroned immortal invisible save for the son so scripture's sages through ages say means eternal one, the I AM to Moses said simply complicated to finite flesh, blood flowing minds growing old, "wrinkled in time" corporeal helplessness old folk's home demise . . . i respectfully disagree with images of the Father as old though pictorially pictured with hair white n' hoary by Michelangelo who though himself painter genius cannot override scripture Ageing is a disease scientists - some scramble like Pizarro to find the genetic fountain of youth or Natalie Babbitt's, Tuck Everlasting premise of a magic spring to drink, to live, life eternal upon this earth not I, but i'd die to be alive eternal sure though, there's some who would love to live upon this war torn earth forever as it presently is son of God said: "whoever believes in me even though he dies will live forever" Ageing is a disease, not meant to be © 2015 RuseInex |
