Encroachment

Encroachment

A Poem by RuseInex
"

civilization is a good thing, however the wilderness, much of it is being decimated by mankind's activities

"
Above metropolitan
Foggy lights
And dripping roofs

The sad rain and
Crying moon
Of this city cloaked

Blue lights,
Night lights
White specks
In heaven high
Vaguely shining through

Abandoned race of human brood
Moon now slowly moves
Bathing remote,
Lonely wild land

Not far from this city’s
Nestled populace
Teeming thousands peoples
In bubbled spheres
Wrapped
Trapped

The mountains near
Are not far
Where snow and waterfall are
In herb scented air

Animals roam,
Rocks sit
Trees dance
Lichen lays
Unlittered there

Before tomorrow comes
I pray
Drink deeply
With your eyes
Its fading image

Drink before
Tomorrow comes

Stainless steel science
Circuits Silicon Integrate
Carbon copy consciousness
Ever grow
To finish what’s left
