The Great Grey Nothing

The Great Grey Nothing

A Poem by Robert Wilson
"

A short, poetic social critique

"
Grey patches of nihilism are sprouting in the garden of life
Endless children born into a troposphere of torture
Religion carved into their flesh at the dawn of infancy
Adolescence molded into obedient rebellion
Willing to change with the vanity of bribery
Officious consciousness cracks the earth like the fist of an angry god
The human race is almost over and we're dead last

An interesting poem.

"The human race is almost over and we're dead last" If this is so, then who is beating us? And what is the goal?
