Love Poem: 2012A Poem by Robert WilsonI think the title speaks for this one...
The blonde haired boy
With one eye and a twisted leg Grasped his golden locket And stared at the beautiful girl Pictured inside Her eyes were the color Of a 20th century ocean And her black hair caressed her shoulders Like a lover As her smile echoed beauty The boy opened the door And it fell of the hinges As the roof of his house Fell on the charred corpses Of his family He staggered on the sidewalk Newly paved with the bones Of a thousand dead children Stumbling over disfigured people Wandering aimlessly in search of shelter Or any form of hope She was in the corner of her room Barely standing after the bomb Her eyes were now the color Of a junkie's piss Her hair was charred off Leaving dead skin to coat her sorrow And her right arm was now just a shoulder With nothing to caress it He held her While he kissed her bloody cheek And they cherished everything they had As they sat under the gray sky © 2008 Robert WilsonFeatured Review
