Beautiful Disaster

Beautiful Disaster

A Poem by MikeMarstaeller
"

Pretty much my one and only sad poem so far..

"

Beautiful Disaster

We’re so many miles away,
Yet not so far apart.
Maybe in this world,
But not in the heart,

I still have the first picture you gave me,
And I bet you still have mine.
Although you gave it to me so long ago,
Your face will always shine.

I can’t wait to see you,
It’s been so long.
But even to this day,
I can still recite our favorite song.

I’m on my way baby,
Just sit tight.
It’s not going to be,
Just another lonely night.

I remember the first time we met,
It was love at first sight.
Even now, I’m still loving you,
With all of my might.

I’m in my car,
Driving straight to you.
It seems like this drive,
Will never get through.

I suddenly remember us watching movies,
Laying up on your trunk.
Though all the while,
I never saw the drunk.

It happened so fast,
But I never thought it would end.
I always knew you could fix any broken heart,
But I was sure, that this one you couldn’t mend.

The doctors said I was in a coma,
They said I was going to die.
I guess I’m glad I was out,
Because I could never stand to see you cry.

Everything was starting to go black,
I heard you ask one single plea.
I would do anything to just go back,
But your face was the last thing I could see..
