Looking out

Looking out

A Poem by Egonarc

You said, "we are 'Okay."
As your lips move something was missing.
I had to ignore until the end.
When there was no room for belligerence.
Losing your head to kick it further away.
I was confused.
Thought your words meant everything.
Believed in the lies.
Knew this love was never aflame.
Tried to hide the fact that I knew.
wanting this to last.
But now your all in the past.

Moving isn't easier when I've never done it on my own.
Looking side to side,
Front to back.
No one will surprise me.
If I see them coming, I'll run to the falls.
The water will cleanse my soul.
Heal the broken pieces.
Maybe then I'll let another past.
Saying "Hello."
Meeting someone that'll stay at last.
No more lies.
I can see into they're loving eyes.
Knowing they're truthful side.
