New to Books

A Poem by Buck Thomas

Brushes the dust from the cover.
Piqued interest.
Brings the world forward.
Prying for the truth.
Becoming severed from disillusionment.
Pouring over the untold.
Biting platitudes for hunger.
Pasts die with each turn.
Belittled from birth.
Paper losing it’s worthlessness.
Battle heightened.
Parables of new.
Breathing fresh.
Power is taken.
Beauty is realized.
