My Spanish Guitar

My Spanish Guitar

A Poem by Buck Thomas

You are beautiful.
Tattered and real.
A Spanish guitar serenade.
Flowing sound brushes back.
The guitar speaks.
Playful smile.
Tugging at the strings.
Picking the heart.
Slows.
Softer.
Leaning forward to listen.
The body shapes the melody.
Grasping the notes.

Mi amor.
Speak to me.
Show your soul.
This harmony is bliss.
Sing the moment.
Para siempre.
