Wasting TimeA Poem by Sara Troxtell
When did I get here?
Shivering in this cold realization That I'll never compare. The wind combs thru dark hair Casting shadows over dark eyes. Another tear makes it way Down a make-up streaked cheek. I'm clever at hiding disappointment as you walk my way. You're so beautiful in the error of your ways. And I smile as I keep trying to be the everything. You take me into your warm embrace With such a blank loveless stare. The feelings of doom creep their way back up. The rooms blinks to black nothingness & you're nowhere to be found. I slowly rose from my restless sleep & shake off the dreams that echo "You'll never be loved like her." & I wonder... Will there ever be a breaking point? It's just that with the things you speak & do Makes me realize I'm not the one & I'm just wasting time. © 2010 Sara TroxtellReviews
