The Prince Of The GallowsA Poem by KiraAn obscurely-referenced poem of Harry Potter, the Master Of Death - May He Rest In Hell.
The Prince Of The Gallows
He sits upon the wooden beams Above the hanging ropes He haunts the children's darkest dreams The corners where monsters dare not go
His eyes glow green under the hollow tree And ravens perh upon his shoulder The moon glows red in the wake of the eve As the fading sun starts to smoulder
The night resonates with the damned's wails Yet they are not heeded for away they whist And "Suspended!" shouts the man clothed in blak-may-pale And the cadavers fall to the abyss
He laughs at their plight, at their struggling Amused at their fultile fight He rejoices at their newborn weeping Enjoying their despair at its height
He dances to his victims' screams From their dried, asphyxiated throats He blesses at All Hallows' Eve At Samhain's feast he boasts © 2012 Kira |
