Something More

Something More

A Poem by Kira
"

Despite our selfishness, we convince ourselves we are content, but all the while we covertly search for something to fill that unbearable emptiness.

"

Something More

We push-

Over the edge

We shove-

To their deaths

We turn-

Our backs to them

We hide-

Our playing cards

We scrounge-

Our treasure away

We sell-

Our souls away

We climb-

Past those we scorn

We wish-

There were something...more?
