All Falls Silent

All Falls Silent

A Poem by Kira
"

The horrors of humanity ever-linger beneath the surface of acted kindness and the facade of care.

"

All Falls Silent

I am indestructable, untouchable, indescribable

And alone.

I watch and I wait, I see horrors and

Sorrows, yet still I watch and wait on.

I see peace over-run by war.

I see wonders crumble under the foot -

Prints of humanity.

I see civilizations fall to corruption.

I see slums and filthy streets blissfully

Ignored by their wealthy neighbors.

I see needless martyrs and innocent

Children fall.

I see the seeds of arrogance and apathy;

Gluttony and ire;  Lustful unfaithfulness,

Envy and avarice.

I see the distant silhouettes of War,

Pestilence, Famine and Death

Ever-lingering just over the horizon.

Yet still I watch and I wait

As all falls silent.
