Encore

Encore

A Poem by Rudie Rock

I saw his face in the rain.

His touch water droplets,

My skin the windowpane.

In his eyes I saw stars and comets.

His gaze a constellation,

Of which I can only dream to be admits.

In his arms I saw a safe haven.

His hold on me like warm honey,

His soul an image of heaven.

In our time I saw a melody.

Our love was a seemingly endless reservoir,

Full of hope of being forever in harmony.

Today I saw his face again,

After it was thought to be the end.

I felt everything his presence elicits.

The feeling of laying under a glowing sun.

As he gently moved forward,

My heart screamed for an encore.
