Grey

Grey

A Poem by Rudie Rock

Strings of smoke hanging in the air
above the lonely heart below.
A silent prayer
for an end to the immeasurable sorrow.
Streams of tears washing over a tattered soul,
shreaded by the gears of fate.
After losing all control,
it's so easy to soffocate.
Pitter, patter,
raindrops fall.
Cold hands beginning to quiver.
Surrounded by crumbling drywall.
Everything is grey,
since you faded away.
