To the Moon and Back

To the Moon and Back

A Poem by Rudie Rock

Let's go to the moon.
You and me.
Shooting through the sky.
After a lifetime of dreaming to fly.

Bring the party.
Packing tequila.
We are going to dance in the stars tonight.
There is nowhere else I would rather be.

In the end we know we will need to return,
with tales of space people
and the weight of space rocks.
Gravity comes back and land back down.

The sky is not the limit
but we will always need to come back.
Come back for air.

What a journey, to mingle celestially. Defy gravity and moonwalk the elevated dancefloor. All the while our lungs fight for air, as our hearts fight the limits.

I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
