For the first time, this blurring smoke is clarified

and words are written on paper, my soul is etched

the truth deducted from the lies, it can’t be stretched

no more, I’m ready to live I say, it’s classified

 

if I have to battle, so be it, for all the suffering

that I had to go through, not once but twice

I broke and healed against the highest price

there was no mercy, not even in recovering

 

it was never enough, not even till the bitter end

no trace of gratitude, not a grain of simple respect

for the years of loyalty I gave, I can’t forgive

 

nor forget, you reap what you sow, my friend

you’ll never be, this is the truth, I resurrect

from the death, I’m prepared and ready to live.

So very true, life is hard and we never know what hand we are going to be dealt....But we must always get up dust ourselves off and keep on going so we do not miss our time to shine!!

The oracle was always right, correct, but who can interpret the oracle? Who can see trough the misty veil past obstruction and evasion to actually find truth? Maybe in retrospect those mists part.

Thank you also, for reading so much of my work. The Italian Sonnet is one of my favourite rhyming poems, have a lot of them in Dutch, now translating some of them, but it's a hard time, because you have to think about giving it the same meaning, thinking about the flow and the sound and of course, the rhyme too. But I like doing a sonnet very much. :) Rudi
