Who shall remember me?

Who shall remember me?

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Poetry should... should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts, and appear almost a remembrance. John Keats

"

How will my tomorrow look,

will it be like today,

or as the day of yesterday

will time stay or stop

or just go somewhat slower,

shall I be able to do

what I have postponed till now,

when will be my last day,

my last morning,

how will I disappear here

or will I leave some tracks,

sowing words and sentences

which will grow after me,

who shall remember me,

for who I really was

or tried to be,

who will I be when I’m gone.

Very deep philosophical thoughts and in the end it will not matter. Life is for the living. I am more at peace in life as I write and know if anyone has desire to know me when I am gone, that my words and thoughts which speak of me have been written down. Well done and I like it.

to leave an imprint on the distant waves that is the memory I wish to leave :) for once I am gone from this body I shall be continuing my flow within eternity

once I am gone my need to feel shall be vanquished and therefore if people think of me or not - truth be told - I shall care not

being a good upstanding person in the here and now is all that matters to me - all else is inconsequential

:) flow on Rudi - much love X

B
A simple shirt on a bed
A black pen
Couple of notes
Some socks in a worn out boot
A massive coat

This is all that will remain of me
So remember me in hope

This is very deep, what's left of us when we're gone, only God knows. Nice one, enjoyed every bit.

These are the questions that run through people's minds all their lives (I imagine). You have written this out well, with calm and flowing measure.

A very good question my friend.
"who shall remember me,
for who I really was
or tried to be,"
I believe we are what we leave. Did we leave good soil and hearts behind? Were we good teachers of kindness, concern and love? Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
