'Sigh'

'Sigh'

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

What is love? It is the morning and the evening star. Sinclair Lewis

"

I may wish upon

a far away falling star

asking some love and friendship

and peace and understanding for each other

I may wish

till my thoughts will hurt

but who will fulfil them

do I have to wait

on a Deus ex machina

with Harry Potter’s magic wand

to smash to smitereens

all my Voldemort’s

‘sigh’

I’ll do what I do every year

hoping this year will not be worse

praying till someone finally listens

to the voice of reason

but above all and first, I’ll begin with myself

and the people who are close to me.

life is a puzzle which only you could decide what to do with it; would you find the real piece that would give details of who you are. In the end, it is you that can make things possible by working out with your goal.

Thanks for the nice read. ;)

You wish upon a wishing star, for things to be different than they are. Reason is only a part of man, and emotions will overcome any time they can. The voice of love is stronger than the voice of reason.

i fully understand how difficult it can be to write in a language which isn't your native tongue...
... you've created lovely imagery with with twists of irony. i enjoyed the message of this piece

Thanks, Julie, for your kind words. :) Rudi
This is beautiful, but I see it as more of a call, or a wish for understanding, maybe from frustration. It is almost, or is like you are simply asking the universe why, what can I do? Does it take the magic want; making me remember my latin too. The ending is lovely as well. No doubt, a wonderful poet; learn much from you. I wish to be so honest in writing. What a talent. I only speak the truth. Never give up; keep writing! Dale
