The maze of life. Rarely do we return to where we had begin.
"I’ve gone this lonely path for what I’ve lost
my childhood, the real kisses and my innocence,
for what I’ve always looked and never found,"
I return to places I called home. Nothing is left. The ending is true. Death is the ending for the all of us. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you John, for taking time to review my poem. Glad you liked it. :) Rudi
Below I see written the maze of life and it is, but you also had me thinking about my life and the visual I receive in my minds eye is one of regret and happiness too. It is beautiful writing. Quite a lovely poem, once again. Bravo.

With two firmly fixed points of reference some being, unfamiliar with the concept, would think life was linear. The twisty patch in the middle is the most interesting; briars, deadfall. potholes , snakes and wicked thorns. Or decisions, events, circumstances, and experience - really the same thing.

Yes indeed Rudi. I shre with you the feeling so first of let me tell you how thankful I am because it is not often that I see words of friendshit toards Death. Which I sense here like a a companion of sorts holding our hand, truly is not Death's fault we have to die right? But isn't compasionate that we have it so we are not lost and we may be guided. You give us a little more by throwing the possibility of coming. If that was to be the case it makes the need for a guide even more important. The image of Sameal the angel od death is iincredibly appealing to me. He was asked and he said "all the good jobs are taken"? Ok I'll do it then....
Great feeling here.
Thankyou

In certain old cultures Death is worshipped an honoured, they have explanations for every phase of the afterlife. It's only here in our Western model of life that we fear death. I must admit I think a lot about this theme. :) Rudi
This cleverly shows us the combination of strength and weakness that resides in the human spirit. What an earth and the maze of it that barely sees or realizes where it itself is going and us upon it. "I would be strong if only I would know/where I am from and where I’m going to,/I wouldn’t fear at all" here is where the author admits the part of the hero which is not always feeling so brave as one might imbalanced, so there is the evenness of temperament. Sorry to go on so long, Sounds like a movie worth seeing, as the subject of this poem is worth the reading! It's funny how this maze of life gets to us and we all go to the same way of mortality as Ecclesiastes so authoritatively will say, in the famous piecemeal gatherings and collations of sacred text,

life is like a maze...we try to find our way through, and eventually we find our way out.
so we need to make the most of the journey, all the twists and turns, discoveries, and surprises...
we must feel our way.

Life is like this Rudi. Constantly changing direction, calling others to follow, but the end result is always the same. I really enjoyed this one.
