The tide

The tide

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Despite the sea being wild and the waves rolling away from the shore, the tide always returns. Katherine McIntyre

"

Shine me inside out

flow drop by drop

back to the sea

disappear into the wave

be a waxing face

my thoughts

are free

strew them off and back again

adorned with shelves of all kind

the sound of the water

brings them nearby

with a whisper

in my ear.

The sentiment reflected a poem I read years ago,"Song of the Chattahoochie" by Sidney Lanier. All water returns and returns again.
