Caprice

Caprice

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Talent and intelligence never yet inoculated anyone against the caprice of the fates. J. K. Rowling

I’m the criss-cross beetle

through the grass

driven further

moving away

to the horizon

but I am also

the earth

grain after grain

turning and searching

for the wind

that will take me

as the smallest part

of dust

that the ground

releases with reluctance

to the caprice

of the sky.
