Just on it, not farther

lost between just before

and hereafter lays the beginning

of my hidden world

 

a frontier that I write with a phrase

the line of words that I draw

a cloud of dreams

is populated by my pen

 

and just there about

the story begins to colour

in rainbows and birds of paradise

the singing of a lark

 

higher, higher

 

flows the river

my feelings are drifting away

with the white of my paper.
