Curvature in my head

Curvature in my head

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

In life, as in art, the beautiful moves in curves. Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton

"

Is the only dream that I have spelled out reality

Or is my world just an accidental dream

Does the curve in my head is called mentality

Is the waterfall now before or after the stream

I’m floating further on some thoughts full of air

Carried by new ideas and very old hypotheses

Driven by a sigh filled with a humble prayer

Can I really wait till the end of all the other species

Between going up and landing, there’s a gap

Where earthly time and gravity is non-existent

Where the skyline has no borders, no worldly map

Is mentioning the stardust in this spatial distant

Where I’ll be forever, where I’ll voluntarily unwrap

And melt together and just be, there’ll be no resistance.

“Couriouser and couriouser” said Alice. But, sometimes better a good question than a stale answer.

I always love dream themed poetry :) So mysterious and so many ways to write about them. Nightmares, good dreams, falling dreams, running dreams...I love it :) Your writing is always wonderful thank you for sharing Rudi :)

Whenever we stop wondering we have stopped living. I liked reading the quiver of questions as you picked them out one by one. May your heart always rejoice in the truth you'll find. :D

Rudi: So many theories; I like the books and movies that say, we're are just an illusion. In the first stanza, great questions; I thought too the waterfall now before or after the stream is interesting, but I found myself wondering; maybe the rhyme, what's in between? 2nd stanza is thought provoking too; the old hypotheses are forever changing; so interesting too; what is consciousness anyway? Stanza 3 is beautiful; you are so talented. We are stardust aren't we? No? We are miracles. Your writing is superb. Thank you so very much. Dale

A questions we all ask ourselves, Rudi... perhaps we spend most of our lives dreaming because the realities of the world around us become unbearable sometimes. You've captured well the twisted way our minds work from time to time and who knows where those thoughts will land. Fortunately for us, your words land sweetly on the page (in this case, on the screen) and we are able to share in your poetic observations of the world through your poetry. I felt weightless while reading this and really love the accompanying photo. Well-done!
