Morning sound

Morning sound

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

I get up every morning and it's going to be a great day. You never know when it's going to be over so I refuse to have a bad day. Paul Henderson

"

I hear the morning

in the creaking of the bed

a cough, a yawn

the shuffle of slippers

in the hall

the coffee is boiling

from far away

with intervals it reaches

my consciousness

while outside the traffic

breaks the silence

the buzzing

of child voices

in my ear

the meowing

of two hungry cats

at the back door

and the softly calling

at the bottom of the stairway

breakfast is ready.

Thanks Rudi. Great visual, and the morning's are such a beautiful time of day to me. You're a lucky man to have breakfast waiting....But seriously, those aromas and sounds are a delight, nice to lie there a little and wait. Well done as always. Dale

If this is your morning you live a lovely life. It is cheering on a cold, February morning.

I am not the early bird and I usually wake up to the house wren singing outside my window.

Always nice to wake up with the birds. :)
This speaks to me more about observation and pondering that about what happens externally. "I hear the morning in the creaking of the bed is quite the enchanting line. Just that moment when sleep ends and waking conciousness begins to take over the changes are always subtle just like the descritpions given in this scene. The coffee moment, Life outside, the sound of the wild life and the calling which indicates that it is ineed time to "walk".

Descriptive scene.

Thank you.

Always glad to read your comments, Rene. :)
Haha. ..
You expressed the morning sound very gently.
A perfect poem to get out of that tight sleep and indulge in busy lives.
Liked the way you told the story.

Well done.

Spidey. ..
