Rainbow

Rainbow

A Poem by Rudi J.P. Lejaeghere
"

Rainbow, colours of hope, beauty after the storm.

"

The watery sun is glittering in drops of things

like little diamonds, it looks as a broken light

pulled apart and curved in beautiful colours, that brings

the tears as all the sad feelings on your face and sight

sorrow is gliding slowly downhill on your wet cheeks

spotted with the remains, now a laugh is breaking through

the clouds and sobbing of a smothered desire leaks,

and illuminated again as the sun shines in the dew

as shattered ideas, clouds are drowning after the storm

from very black night to pale grey day and ocean blue,

a sad mood is floating away on sounds and the form

of a warm feeling as a red balloon rises too,

the last sweep of the tempest is sinking in the warm

horizon to melt with a rainbow, the final view.

Thank you, I do my best, for me as Belgian it's not evident to write in English. I first think it out in Dutch and have to translate it. The good of this is that I have two poems when I am finished, one in Dutch and one in English.
