Madeline

Madeline

A Poem by Ruby Isabel Sandoval

Skin that smelled like apricots on a hot day.
I wish I'd never tasted it.
Then I would not crave,
with lips dripping, the sullen
tarte. Salivating at the memory
of juicier encounters and nights
not worth a second thought.
