・　Chapter 1　・　My First Day of Highschool~

The prologue may have been in third person, but this chapter is in first person. (Kyou's POV)

" Ughhh... Internet is so sloooow "  I stomped in anger. " Oh wait.. Tomorrow's school, right? " I turned around and looked at the calendar, " Oh, will you look at that.. " " I was right " I turned around once more to look at my bag if it was all packed, it looked like it was, so I turned back to my computer.

My name is Akiyama Kyou, I am a 13-year-old who is finally first year~ ( Author: Sorry, it may be different for you guys because I live in the Philippines, but Grade 7 is first year high school in my school ) I hope I get to meet new people TT^TT Anyways..back to the story: I looked at the clock and noticed it was...11:00pm?! MY MOM'S GONNA KILL ME! I ran into the bathroom and took a quick shower, while I was in the shower, my mom knocked on the door " Kyou...? Are you still awake? " I turned off the shower and dried up, "Haaiiii!" I shouted, ( Hai means yes in Japanese ) I wore my clothes and opened the door, " Yes? " " Are you all ready for school? " she asked, " Hai, hai.. I'm not 10 anymore, mom. I know what to do. Now quit worrying and have some rest " I smiled, " A-are you sure? " I nodded, " If you say so, but if you forget something, don't come crying to me, I warned you " she closed the door and left. Siiighh I jumped on the bed and went to sleep. " Kyou...! K-Kyou! Tasukete...!" ( Tasukete - Help )" E-eh? Wh-who's there? " All I saw was pitch black. " You'll know sooner...Hehehe~ " when the girl said that, I saw a creepy smile in the dark. As I woke up, I gasped, " Another creepy dream.. " I looked at the morning sky through the window, " A-asa.. " ( Asa - Morning. )  " Ohayo! " ( Ohayo - Good Morning ) I said as I stepped down the last few steps of the stairs, " Ohayo.. " mom waved while she cooked the fried egg, " M-mom! The egg! " I heard the egg sizzle, " A-ah! " she flipped it over, " Ahahaha! Sugoooi! " I clapped. ( Sugoi - Cool ) " ITADAKIMAAASU! " ( Itadakimasu - Thank you for the food )

" Ittekimasu! " ( Ittekimasu - I'm going ) I stepped out the door, smelling the fresh, cut, green grass. Yaaawwn, I stretched and ran excitedly to school. " Goodluck to me! " I shouted to myself. When I got to school, I bumped into a student, " A-ah! Gomen! " I fell on the ground ( Gomen - Sorry ) " Daijobu.. " the student lent me a hand, " Daijobu desu ka? " ( Daijobu - It's okay. Daijobu desu ka - Are you okay? ) the student lent me a hand, " H-hai " I took the hand and stood up, " The name's Sora, nice to meet you! " she smiled, I shook her hand and said " Mine's Kyoko, but you can call me Kyou. " " Let's check if we're in the same class! " she suggested, we ran to the board excitedly. " Oh we are! " she exclaimed, " Oh yeah! " I saw a guy named " Kei Nishizono " and he's in our class! " Well that's a unique name " I thought, " Hey hey hey, Kyou.. Why are you smiling at the board? " Sora laughed, actually, she has a point.. Why am I so excited to meet this guy? " Oh haha! I'm just excited " " Well that's good! " she walked away.
" Niishiizonooo~ " I made a little tune with his name, " Nishizonooo " I accidentally blurted it out, " Huh? " a guy who I assume is Kei looked at me, I blushed in embarrassment and covered my mouth,
" How do you know my name? " he said in surprise, " U-umm.. S-sorry but I wasn't talking about you " " Is that so? " he walked away, " If you say so. " I sighed in relief.

 " Hello graduates, welcome to Crimson Academy! " the class clapped, " Some of you may have attended this school before, some of you may have repeated this year, and only one of you is new here, so give it up for: Akiyama Kyou! " " The name's Kyou, nice to meet ya' " The class kept quiet the whole time I was speaking.. It was odd.. After the bell rang, half of the class went to the cafeteria, half of us stayed here. " Itadakimasu " I said quietly. After eating, I took out a sketchbook, and began to sketch.

" I will now assign someone to tour Kyou around the building " ( It's towards the end of the day that this happened ) " Nishizono Kei " I looked at him and both our eyes widened " E-eh?! " we both said in surprise, " What's the matter? So what if your opposite genders? That way, you'll get to know each other better! You guys will soon become friends~ " Ms. Hanazawa said, but I completely disagree with her, I know he does too, " Haai... " we both said sadly.

 " Okay.. *ahem* this is the library... " he said with such a boring tune, " This is the bathroom.. " " This is the stairs.. obviously.. " " Oi, can you at least make it more entertaining? " I said, " How is that possible? "  " Well, first of all, don't be lazy to talk, second of all, be more lively " I scolded, " Yes ma'am " he teased me.

At the end of the day, we said our goodbyes, and we walked our separate ways.

I thought it was an entertaining read...the fresh excitement of youth is nice to think back to, almost comforting. You write well, which is important for me when I read if people misuse punctuation and mess up the flow of the read it makes it difficult for me to continue. You also do well with dialogue and detail, the chapter seemed short in comparison but that's okay. I'm curious as to what's going on in her dreams. Good work.
