My Chemical Dream

My Chemical Dream

A Poem by RûbbërSøul

Lost in a haze of colours and shapes
No car, no body, just thoughts that race
The grass is bright and the road is long
The sky is a broken mirror then the colour is gone

I can move the clouds and the trees with no breeze
Shift all shades, banish shadows with ease
The lights in the store of the night were too bright
The face in the mirror was an imposter of night

We looked as the demon fired a croak of faux hate
And in unison turned, it was time to vacate
Sick of the dark it felt time to restart
Back past the park where the roller doors bark

Solitude appeared a regrettable choice
'Til solace was found in the Lizard King's voice.

I like this. Especially this line.
"I can move the clouds and the trees with no breeze"
The Doors are my favorite band so the last line is a nice tribute to Jim. Awesome job
