Poetic BluesA Poem by RûbbërSøulI've been going through what they call an "Existential Crisis" since I was a kid, so my whole life I've been trying to find some meaning or purpose behind my life. It can be quite taxing...
Embarking on the journey
For which my soul thrives A lonesome trek Under a starlit sky
Expanding the narrow alley of my mind Stumbling on entwined vines of realisation Far from the peak, alone and confused I've been ripped from the one With whom I'm forever fused
Since the beginning, the answers I'd seek Other's became lost in a technicolour trance A kaleidescope of colours, what better retreat?
Don't give in to astonishment or your journey will cease But what wisdom do I truly seek? Treading in pools of false ideals Wallowing in words of the Ancient Greeks Undeserving of the ensuing mystique Who says I'm worthy of a life unique? Average Joe, livin' week by week I wondered if I had a creative streak Nothing to be proved in pages so bleak.
