Chapter 4 - Lilli's POV

"Why so serious, Damon?" King Clay asked, his eyes diverting from Ruby to the Alpha King. "Chill. Especially that Ruby's here."

I glanced at Ruby only to find her checking out King Clay. "Ruby!" I whisper-yelled her name, but she still didn't even glance at me, and may I add, still checking out the Panther King so I nudged her to get her attention.

And, surprise! surprise, she looked at me still dazed. "What?" She asked softly, apparently she still is thinking about him.

"How does he know you?" I asked, she opened her mouth to reply, however, we were rudely interrupted.

"Ahh. Ruby, Long time no see, ay?" King Clay approached Ruby and, to everyone's surprise, she blushed and looked at her feet mumbling a soft 'yes'.

"Shall we enter the palace, my sweet devil?" He politely bowed in front of Ruby, reaching out his hand for her to take, much to his amusement, she just brushed his hand away and headed away from the palace.

"I'm not going back there. Even if you came along. Ruba and Lilli can go, but I won't." She firmly stated, her eyes darting to the Alpha King. She glared at him and he furiously glared back.

"Not going to happen." Ruba and I replied in union and headed towards Ruby. The Alpha King started growling at us, while the Panther King just chuckled at us, looking at Ruby in some type of 'admiration'.

Ruby smirked at the Alpha King, almost mocking him. "What's wrong king? Are you upset that everything is out of hand? That everything is out of order? That nothing is happening the way you want?" She taunted.

"My mate isn't going anywhere near a filthy rogue" He growled back at her.

"Hey! This filthy rouge has been living with me for five years!" Ruba snapped.

"It feels more of a complement when u say it, b***h" Ruby said smiling.

"You're the b***h" I said and she just nodded and muttered 'Touché'

"You're coming with me!" King Damon growled, his eyes switching between gold and its natural gray colour.

"Ruby, I think that we should go with him." I whispered to Ruba and Ruby, knowing that king Damon is on the verge of shifting. Ruba looked uncertain while Ruby just smirked and laughed, and by laughed, I mean her evil laugh. 'I wonder how she does it' I thought.

"What is it, Damon? Trying to keep control of Isaac? Trying to hide your beast from your mate?" Ruby mocked him, her eyes turning...gold?!

"Don't test my patients!" He growled back.

I felt a hold on my arm and looked at whoever held me. And saw King Clay pulling me and Ruba away from Ruby, however, that didn't last long. Ruby turned towards us and growled at the Panther King, who his eyes in return turned from brown to electrified blue and stare directly at Ruby's eyes, she in return turned around and face the Alpha King.

The Panther King slowly pulled us away from them.

"Where are you taking us?" Ruba asked her gaze stuck at Ruby and the King.

"I need to keep you both safe from them for now." He replied.

"What do you mean? Ruby will never hurt us." I snapped at him.

"Not purposely, she won't." He replied.

"We have to go help her!" Ruba, ironically, growled at him and started to approach them. I started heading their way, too, when the king's grip strengthened on our arms and pulled us towards a cabin.

He put us there and headed towards the door. 'It's ok. As soon as he leaves, I'll use magic to get out of here'. At that thought, he stopped in his tracks, he looked at me and smirked.

"By the way, this cabin is magic immune. And it has a vampire retrain spell." He said then left.

"Damn it! How did that b***h know that I was planning to use magic to get out of here! More importantly, how did he know that I was a witch?!" I snapped, and started pacing around the room along with Ruba.

"This girl loves to stress me out," Ruba muttered her hand running through her hair. "I'll become bald in no time because of her." She added.

"I'm hungry..." I mumbled sitting down on the floor.

"You're not serious, are you?" Ruba looked at me with disbelief.

"Ruby would have said this instead but... I really am hungry" I chuckled at her expression.

"You b*****s are weird..." She mumbled trying to hold back a smile.

"Admit that that's what makes us special" I replied trying to act cute, and got a laugh from her as a response.

"True, that is" She said smiling at me.

Moments later, the door opened and we were greeted by the Alpha King.

And not the human,

But the Beast.

Hey guys! I'm sooooooo sorry for the late update!! But I've been busy lately so I decided to put my priorities first, which is my studies

And since I'm Architecture Engineering, I have too many projects and sketches due tomorrow and after tomorrow, however, I'm still trying my best to write whenever I have time to do so.

So I hope you understand my situation. And be patient with my moodiness, laziness, business and bitchiness.
