When doubt ruins reality

Wishes and realities hang in suspense
Whilst doubt and anxiety conspire
Breaking down this defense
Suspicion's loudest amplifier

In this darkness, apprehension was conceived
Hopes, wishes, dreams, damned to die
For surely in these shadows did angst perceive
This scepticism amplified

Cold, depth in this emotion
Fierce, incomprehensible the saturation of this rust
Oh the troubled waters of this bottomless ocean
Must I forever be damned to mistrust?

On a personal level, yes, trust is a precious gift that any individual can give to another. We sometimes forget how sacred that is until it is gone. For the person that broke the trust, it is such hard work to regain it back. For the person who lost the trust...one has to deal with the "What-ifs" and having to learn to not turn every situation into a conspiracy theory.

Very well written.. We do have a little ounces of mistrust.. but certain situations can amplify them to a level which we are unable to keep in check sometimes..all we ought to do is seek that amplifies our trust :)
