Pacifica

Pacifica

A Poem by Nihad Dweidary
"

What dreams may come....

"

Adrift on top of a tumbling ocean,

Heart submerged amidst its motion,

I watched eyes the green subdue,

Turning hue to an amorous blue.

Then Pacifica crashed the timber,

Sunshine kisses, gold and limber.

Betwixt the cheer of happy rays

The cobalt waves twirled in craze.

A story how one's birthed from two;

It is how I truly "remember" you.

A powerful and beautiful poem. I live in Monterey for three years. I would drink beer and wine with friends and watch the sea all night. I understand the feel and the emotion of this poem. I like the way you compare the sea to someone you love. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

' Heart submerged amidst its motion, ' - what a perfect phrase.

' The cobalt waves twirled in craze. ' - another perfect phrase.

To be honest, each phrase - and the thought behind its conception and birth, is as perfect as it gets.

Thank you for sharing and sharing.
