Hope Floats

Hope Floats

A Poem by Nihad Dweidary
"

When sea and lover converge in thought...

"

I cast my eyes toward tumultuous seas

Seemingly submerging silent sepulchers

And wonder where hope makes his home.

Is it sheltered in a shimmering path

Beyond many silhouettes of thoughts,

Ever so visible and ever so far

That my heart just fails to see?

What mystery do the waves deliver

To the part of you that becomes me?
